Nobody knows better than you what your child needs. A rich learning experience is one of them and we intend to help you with it.

Action

Teachers at Universal Model Sr. Sec. School School explain how the CBSE Profile guidelines actually play out for children in the Primary Section.

Risk Taker

Sanya Vishwakarma feared diving in water. During their regular swimming session, she was convinced to dive into the water to overcome her fear. She was reluctant at first, and after much persuasion she finally managed to dive into the pool from a height of 3 1/2 feet.. She not only overcame her fear but also learnt to take risks. From that day, diving into water became a cakewalk for her.

Thinker

During one of the interactive session with our students, on functioning of body parts, students inquired a lot about the functioning of various vital organs of our body.

During the revision session, 2 students - Sarah and Sonakshi composed a song on the circulatory system of the human body. This activity helped them to get knowledge about how to research on a particular topic.

With this exercise, children were exposed to the aspect of thinking as well as doing adequate research if a topic interests them.

Reflective

During one of the communications session, Sanika started inquiring about how animals and plants communicate with each other. This attribute of her reflected that she was thinking out of the box and wanted more insights about how other living beings communicate apart from humans.

Caring

We had been for a field trip to a hearing impaired school in Bhandup. We noticed that Saumya and Aria were sitting besides a small child, trying to understand what the child wants. Both the girls reflected on being an open minded and caring person.

Inquirers

When we were explaining to the children about a balanced lifestyle, Samarth was very curious to know about the types of food that would keep him healthy and fit.

The most interesting unit was on Air. They were eager to know about the ill effects of air pollution and what precautions could be taken to main the air clean. This showed a curious side of children who want to know more.

Reflective

Dhruv Shah was a very fussy eater. Whenever he starts eating food, he used to think of his favorite food. He used to say: "These are not peas, these are cheeselings". For parathas, he used to say: “This is not a paratha, this is a yummy pizza”. He refects on his food and finds innovative ways to enjoy it along with his friends.

Principled

Rudraksh, as a child is honest and respects his friends. Once, while playing he pushed his friends as he could not get his way out. Even before the teacher could step in to reprimand him, he took the intitaive and apologized for his behavior.

He also went on time-out for a while as a penalty for his actions. He displayed a sense of responsibility for his own actions and was ready to face the consequences.

Communicator

Isaac Miranda is a very talented lad. He understands the concept really well. He tries to make connections to his own experience. He shares all this information with his friends.

Caring

Shaurya is very expressive and confident. He always relates his knowledge and experience to the classroom activities. Once he is done with his work, he helps others to finish their task.

We were surprised when Suhani explained to us the respiratory and digestive systems. It was taught to her wonderfully at school using visual aids.
Thanks a lot!

Parent of Ayush Kapoor

When we were dealing with a unit on communication, Sanika inquired how plants and animals communicate. We were surprised as it was not included in the topic. This showed that she reflected being an enquirer.

Parent of Sanika, Grade 2

My daughter taught her cousins and friends about articles, vowels and rhymes during her summer vacation. Even taught me the ascending and descending order using our family tree as an example. She also teaches our maid English conversation skills like 'How are you?', 'I am fine', etc.

Mother of Samruddhi Gupta

My daughter has shown positive development thanks to the training and learning she is receiving at school. She is willing to help people, she even helps me and her father in our everyday activites. It is amazing to see how she is practically applying her learnings from school in her daily life. We are quite happy with her conduct and would like to sincerely thank her teachers and the entire management.

Mother of Urja Kothari

The one page handwriting practice from the Newspaper is very helpful. Not only does it help my son improve his handwriting, but it also makes him aware of what is happening in the world. He chooses his favorite news each day and practices.

Mother of Ayush, PYP 4A

I would like to thank you and appreciate your hardwork, support and understanding towards my daughter. The inquiry fair held at the school was excellent. I found Geona to be very confident and smart when she was performing at the fair. Thank you for giving her this opportunity and showing faith in her.
